Donor Games 2025 Championship

In the fifth annual Donor Games Championship, competitors including kidney and liver donors, transplant recipients and National Kidney Registry employees and partners will come together at Affinity Athletics in Stamford, Connecticut, in a spirited competition testing strength and endurance.

Participation is by invitation only. Donors and recipients will earn invitations, with travel and lodging covered by the NKR, based on their rankings on the 2025 season leaderboard.

WORKOUT UPDATE

The Bike & Climb has been renamed The Rudder in honor of the Army Rangers who scaled the 100-foot cliffs of Pointe Du Hoc on D-Day under deadly fire from enemy forces at the top of the cliffs, defeating the enemy and taking control of Pointe Du Hoc. Lieutenant Colonel James Rudder led the assault with 225 Rangers from the 2nd Ranger Battalion. His unit experienced a 70% casualty rate and less than 75 of the original 225 who came ashore on June 6 were fit for duty after the assault on Pointe Du Hoc.

Lieutenant General Omar Bradley wrote in his memoir, “No soldier in my command has ever been wished a more difficult task than that which befell the thirty-four-year-old Commander of this Ranger Force.”
