FAQ: Donor Games Opens

Donor Games Open events award cash prizes to the top five competitors in each of five categories: Living Donor Men, Living Donor Women, Transplant Recipient Men, Transplant Recipient Women, General Men, and General Women. As of 2026, cash prizes for Donor Games events range from $100 to $5,000.

Donor Games Open events are rigorous tests of physical fitness that are held virtually. Competitors complete a designated workout and submit a video for a chance to win a cash prize.

Registration for Donor Games Open events is $5 per competitor in the Living Donor and Transplant Recipient categories and $50 per competitor in the General category.

The Donor Games app is available to all registered Donor Games Open competitors. To use the app, download the iPhone or Android version. When you register for a Donor Games competition, you will receive login credentials via email.

All Donor Games events offer modified workouts. The specifics for modified or scaled workouts can be found on the event page (for Open events) or will be provided at the event (for in-person events). Please note that athletes who complete scaled or modified workouts will be ranked after athletes who complete the standard workout. Athletes in the General category who complete a modified workout are not eligible for cash prizes.
