Bench & Toes-to-Bar Recap

The Bench & Toes-to-Bar 2026 Open took place January 22-28, delivering a perfect blend of strength, endurance, and sheer determination. With razor-thin margins separating the athletes, a leaderboard in constant flux, and several standout performances, the event set the stage for a competitive 2026 Donor Games season ahead.

Donor: Men

Eric Walano broke out of the gate fast, putting his score on the board on day one. Eric’s 315-pound 3-rep bench press and 35 T2B reps held steady against a relentless field, earning him his fourth consecutive first-place Open finish. Garet Hil and Blair Casey were within striking distance of Eric but could not close the gap. After an impressive first workout and concerned that Kevin Kilkinney sandbagged his bench workout, Garet improved his bench by 10 pounds and gave up 1 rep on his T2B to come in at 285/32 (bench/T2B). Blair once again topped the charts on strength and delivered a massive 330-pound 3-repbench press that was the best in the men’s donor division. Veteran Justin King and rookie Hunter Lydon finished in fourth and fifth, respectively, adding to the impressive depth of the division.

Donor: Women

The women’s donor division brought the final-day chaos once again, with a late submission that took the competition by storm. After posting an imposing 165/31 score on Saturday, Mimi Mahon sat uncontested atop the women’s donor division in both bench press and toes-to-bar. But in the final hours, double donor (kidney & liver) McKenzie Winland submitted a powerhouse performance that surpassed Mimi in both movements. Her 175/36 effort catapulted her to first place with less than an hour remaining. Roni Hays secured third place with a great showing of 145/30, edging out Courtney Cox’s strong 132.5/31 thanks to the bench press tiebreaker. Emmy Probasco locked up fifth place with a strong 120/29 performance. McKenzie’s incredible performance proved the remarkable strength of living donors, earning her the top overall score across all female competitors, including the women’s general category.

Recipient: Men

After a final-day entry that added 30 pounds to his bench and 8 toes-to-bar reps over his initial leading submission, Codiee Lofquist sealed the win with a commanding 275/29 performance. Andrés Falco put his endurance on full display, claiming second place with a 209/36 workout. Wilson Du grabbed third place with a powerful 225/3 last-minute submission, edging out Scott Claybrook’s strong 190/27 performance due to the bench press tiebreaker rule.

Recipient: Women

Abbey Beckman secured her third Open victory with a commanding 100/12 performance. Samantha Hil locked up second place with a 100-pound bench, and Nicki Mahon secured third place with a 5-pound margin on the bench.

General Divisions

Both general divisions were claimed by last-minute submissions from two world-renowned CrossFit athletes. Reilly Good (top 60 CrossFit athlete in the world) took home first place in the men’s division with a 310/42 effort. Sam Briggs (2013 Fittest Woman in the World) secured first place with a 150/40 submission.

Congratulations to all the athletes!
