Athlete Profile: Mike Ramsey

Mike has been involved in CrossFit for about five years, and has also done the HROX fitness race. The day after his donation surgery, a friend sent him an article about the Donor Games and he signed up that same day. He competed in his first Donor Games Open, the Fran Workout 2024 Open, in February, just four months after his donation. Not only did he win second place in that event, he did the workout three times to improve his time. Since then, Mike has been a fixture at the top of the leaderboard, eventually taking first place in his first-ever Championship event.

Donor Story: Mike donated his kidney to his wife, Bridget, in 2023.

Personal: Mike and Bridget live in Wausau, Wisconsin. They have four kids and eight grandkids. Family is a priority for Mike, and he also enjoys woodworking as well as building and remodeling.
